The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued a notice conveying the conclusion of Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Trong Dong at a meeting on environmental sanitation in Hanoi.

Accordingly, to improve the quality of environmental sanitation in the 4 historic inner-city districts (Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Dong Da, Hai Ba Trung), the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested that departments, District People's Committees and Hanoi Environment Company Limited (URENCO) focus on implementing specific tasks.

URENCO seriously implements the direction of the City People's Committee on improving the quality of environmental sanitation in 4 inner-city districts; urgently implements cooperation procedures with competent units before February 23, 2025 to deploy work in 4 districts from March 1, 2025.

On the basis of implementing pilot measures to improve environmental sanitation quality in 4 historic inner-city districts (using green and modern environmental sanitation equipment; appropriate collection processes and methods, creating a clear change in quality, efficiency, and urban aesthetics), the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to urgently develop a process, norms, and unit prices to submit to competent authorities for approval as a basis for units to thanh, settle, order, or organize bidding for environmental sanitation packages throughout the city from 2026.

The People's Committees of Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Dong Da, Hai Ba Trung districts have implemented measures to ensure urban order, sidewalks, and open roads, qualified for advanced and modern environmental sanitation equipment to operate effectively. At the same time, implement the city's camera installation program, meeting many goals, including environmental sanitation management in the area, to promptly detect and strictly handle violations, such as dumping waste, dumping waste at the wrong time, in the wrong place, slow collection and transportation of waste according to contracts...

Regarding environmental sanitation on highways and elevated routes, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to inspect and urge units to implement environmental sanitation packages on the above routes to ensure cleanliness, avoid waste, dust and water stagnation, have appropriate operating time, and not affect traffic activities.

Regarding environmental sanitation and waste collection in flower gardens and grass areas (open), the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to direct units implementing environmental sanitation packages to coordinate with Hanoi Green Tree Park One Member Co., Ltd. to determine locations and areas that need to be coordinated in environmental sanitation, waste collection, frequency, and methods of sweeping and suction to ensure efficiency and cleanliness.
