The content of the above document proposes to put into operation 68.35km, connecting from Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway to Van Gia intersection, belonging to Van Phong - Nha Trang project before January 10, 2025.
According to the initial schedule, the project will be completed and put into operation by the end of 2025.
However, the contractor consortium is currently working ahead of schedule. The contractor consortium affirmed that it will complete the entire project (including the service road, branch road...) of the 68.35km long route, from Van Gia intersection connecting to Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway before January 10, 2025.
To put the project into operation soon, promote investment efficiency and especially serve people's travel needs during the Lunar New Year, the contractor consortium has requested the Ministry of Transport and Project Management Board 7 to have a plan and direct relevant units to complete the necessary procedures.
Currently, there are 4 expressways operating from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang City. They are Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay, Dau Giay - Phan Thiet, Phan Thiet - Vinh Hao, Cam Lam - Nha Trang.
If approved by the Ministry of Transport, the Van Phong - Nha Trang Expressway will be the fifth component expressway to come into operation. The connection of these five expressways will contribute to promoting socio-economic development in the South Central provinces and Ho Chi Minh City, shortening travel time and reducing traffic pressure on National Highway 1A.
