According to a report by the Tuyen Quang Provincial Civil Defense Command, in the first 7 months of 2026, Tuyen Quang experienced 13 natural disasters with types such as heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning, hail... causing heavy damage to people and property.
Natural disasters caused 5 deaths, 10 injuries, more than 3,600 houses affected; thousands of hectares of crops and many traffic, irrigation, school and medical facilities were damaged. Total damage from natural disasters is estimated at over 650 billion VND.
Faced with the complicated developments of natural disasters, Tuyen Quang province has established 124 shock teams for disaster prevention and control with about 24,000 members, maintaining forces and vehicles ready to handle emergency situations.

Areas at risk of flash floods and landslides are also promptly reviewed to relocate people, and at the same time strengthen safety inspections of dams, irrigation works and essential infrastructure.
Tuyen Quang province has proposed to the National Steering Committee for Civil Defense and central ministries and sectors to support resources to handle urgent disaster prevention and control projects.
Strengthen the equipment of specialized rescue and relief vehicles suitable for mountainous conditions and support the application of early flood and landslide warning technology to improve disaster prevention and response capacity.
