This group went up the mountain to camp, but could not go down the mountain due to heavy rain, slippery roads, darkness, and limited visibility.
The Soc Son district government dispatched 15 officers from the rescue force to the scene, coordinated with the Nam Son commune police and local residents to search, and by 8:00 p.m. the same day, the location of the victims was determined.
