Danger when camping in the wild

Camping, mountain climbing, and wild trekking are popular activities, especially among young people. However, if not carefully prepared, the possibility of danger is very high.

Recently, on May 17, the authorities of Soc Son district (Hanoi) received a report that 5 young people were trapped on Ham Lon mountain, Thanh Ha village, Nam Son commune. This group went up the mountain to camp, but could not go down the mountain due to heavy rain, slippery roads, darkness, and limited visibility.

The Soc Son district government dispatched 15 officers from the rescue force to the scene, coordinated with the Nam Son commune police and local residents to search, and by 8:00 p.m. the same day, the location of the victims was determined.

Ham Lon Mountain is not too dangerous, however, when encountering bad weather, camping players can completely get stuck, endangering their health.

Traveling to explore and camp is one of the activities that many people love. However, to have a perfect camping experience, you need to keep a few things in mind.

First of all, it should be noted that when camping, it is necessary to carefully research the location where you will set foot. You need to learn about factors such as: Location, weather, temperature... in that area to prepare yourself with suitable and necessary equipment.

To ensure the safety of yourself and your companions, you should camp in places permitted by local authorities. When camping in the wild, you are not allowed to encroach on prohibited areas.

Equipping yourself with basic skills is inevitable if you want to travel for camping. You can learn about basic skills such as: How to set up tents, group fires, how to use camping equipment...

Long walks and mountain climbing will cause your body to lose water quickly, so to avoid getting exhausted, you need to supplement water, electrolytes, and nutrient-rich foods to continue your camping journey. Not only that, you also need to prepare food for meals.

In addition to food and drinks, you also need to prepare necessary personal items such as: Mountain climbing shoes, hats, glasses, sleeping bags... and don't forget to prepare a basic first aid kit including ice cubes, medicine...

Camping in mountains or wild places is an extremely interesting experience, but it cannot be subjective. There have been many cases of traffic jams and unfortunate slides. There are even many deaths while camping in the wild.

Therefore, be careful and prepare carefully before leaving to ensure a happy and safe trip.
