On March 17, the Standing Committee of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee held a meeting to give opinions on the plan to organize activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South (April 30) and the liberation of Con Dao.
On this occasion, the province plans to organize many activities such as: Propagating the historical context, developments, reasons for victory, historical significance and the contemporary stature of the historic victory on April 30, 1975; broadcasting documentaries, news lines, and propaganda articles about the event; participating in scientific seminars organized by the Ministry of National Defense.
In addition, the locality also plans to organize a visitation ceremony to the Provincial Martyrs' Cemetery on April 24.4; a meeting program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and pay tribute and exchange with those participating in the resistance war in Ba Ria - Vung Tau on April 25.4; an art program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification Day and a high-altitude fireworks display on April 26 (after the end of the art program, at Ba Ria Park Square).
Organize the inauguration and groundbreaking of key works and projects including: inauguration of the Park and Memorial House of the People's Armed Forces Vo Thi Sau; groundbreaking of the road connecting to the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway; opening the technical traffic of the Component 3 project of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project Phase 1.
In Con Dao alone, on March 3, there are 5 activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Con Dao Liberation, including: Visitation ceremony of Hang Duong Cemetery; inauguration of the Con Dao District Military-Civilian Medical Center; meeting and expressing gratitude to revolutionary soldiers arrested and imprisoned by the enemy who have made outstanding contributions in the past 50 years; lighting gratitude candle at Hang Duong Cemetery; the 50th anniversary of Con Dao Liberation Day and political art program.
Mr. Pham Viet Thanh - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee agreed on the content of organizing the above activities and events; requested the Provincial People's Committee to implement the organization and implementation thoughtfully and solemnly. Agencies, units and localities must coordinate closely, advise on organizing events and activities well in the spirit of promoting socialization and saving budget resources.
In addition, focus on caring for people with meritorious services and relatives, armed forces... as well as focusing on ensuring security, order, and social safety during the days of commemorative activities.
