On August 6, a leader of the People's Committee of Truong Xuan commune (Lam Dong province) gave initial information about the case of child abuse at N'jang Bo bon, Truong Xuan commune.
The baby named Ninh Quang Th (16 months old) is living with his uncle's family. The child's mother worked far away so she sent her biological brother's family to take care of her since she was 1 year old.
The child was abused by her uncle-in-law at around 6:00 p.m. on August 5 and was taken back by someone else.
Previously, through grasping the situation on social networking sites, Truong Xuan Commune Police discovered information about the child being abused, so they stepped in to verify.
Initial verification results show that at around 6:00 p.m. on August 5, Tran Thi Ng (33 years old, residing in Thuan Bac village, Thuan Hanh commune, Lam Dong province) was working for a gas station at N'jang Bo bo bo.
Mrs. Ng was upset about having to both sell goods and look after her grandchild. When the child was crying, Mrs. Ng used her hand to hold the left ankle of Th, lifted the bulb from the plastic chair and threw it onto the concrete floor.
Through verification by the police, Th has no father or mother, Ms. Ninh Thi Th (33 years old, residing in Thuan Bac, Thuan Hanh commune) working in Ho Chi Minh City.
Th has been sent to Tran Thi Ng and her husband for care and care since the beginning of April 2025.
Through a physical examination, the child was discovered to have bruises on both sides of his cheeks. The family has taken the child to the Central Highlands General Hospital for examination.
The case is being further investigated and clarified by Truong Xuan Police.
