Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, Dao Quang Khai, has just signed Decision No. 155/QD-UBND to hand over 19,535.3m2 of land in Xuan Lai commune, Gia Binh district to the Gia Binh District Construction Project Management Board.
The land allocation is to implement the project to build a people's cemetery in Xuan Lai commune and a connecting traffic road under the component project of compensation, support, resettlement, and return of technical infrastructure for site clearance under the Gia Binh airport project (Gia Binh district).
It is known that in phase 1 of the Gia Binh airport project, Bac Ninh province has reclaimed 125 hectares of land, including 773 households with land subject to recovery and 865 graves that need to be relocated.
However, with the drastic participation of the entire political system and the high consensus of the people, the compensation and support work for site clearance was successfully implemented and completed 15 days ahead of schedule.
Started in December 2024, phase 1 of the Gia Binh airport project with a land use scale of about 125 hectares in Xuan Lai commune and Gia Binh town (Gia Binh district, Bac Ninh province) is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
Immediately after starting the project, the Mobile Police Command - the investor unit urged contractors to focus maximum human resources and equipment to speed up the project's construction progress.
By mid-February, the project had completed 3 routes to the project, filling more than 300,000 m3 of land; and is conducting geological surveys to handle locations with weak land.
During the construction process, the investor and contractors always receive support, agreement and support from local authorities and people.
The Prime Minister requested the Gia Binh airport to be planned to expand into an international airport.
Hanoi City has also agreed on the plan to build a nearly 50km, 120m wide road connecting Gia Binh airport with the center of the capital.
Currently, Bac Ninh province is completing the procedures for site clearance for phase 2 of the Gia Binh airport project.
