The dashcam of a car recorded that at around 7am on April 25, at the crossroads with the North-South railway in Huong Trach commune, Huong Khe district, the automatic barrier in this area was being lowered, red lights signaling that a train was about to run.
However, a few seconds later, this automatic barrier opened up so that vehicles on the level crossing could move through the intersection as if the train had just passed.
At this time, seeing the barrier open, some motorcyclists passed through the intersection. A moment later, the train blew the whistle and ran over.
This incident has made many people worried and insecure because of the potential risk of traffic accidents.
According to the representative of La Khe Station, the unit is coordinating to verify and handle the automatic barrier guarding the railway crossing in Huong Trach Commune opening for vehicles to pass when the train has not yet passed.
