Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tung - Director of Giap Bat Bus Station said that before changing transportation needs and requirements to improve service quality, the bus station has synchronously deployed many solutions on infrastructure, traffic organization and service style, aiming to become a modern, convenient and safe transit point for people.
The first focus is to reorganize traffic inside and outside the wharf. The bus square area has been adjusted more reasonably, helping passengers quickly connect between buses - passenger vans - personal vehicles. The station also offers free entry for all cars with less than 9 seats, motorbikes, and technology vehicles to pick up and drop off passengers, reducing traffic pressure and encouraging people to enter the station instead of stopping and parking outside.
Along with that, the bus station has renovated the lounge system in a modern, airy direction, increasing convenience points so that passengers can easily access information, buy tickets, use services and connect to other means of transportation. Parking and booking locations are rearranged according to the province/city, in line with the policy of merging administrative units of the Party and the Government, helping passengers identify, move and get on the bus more conveniently, reducing waiting time.
In addition to infrastructure, the bus station focuses on upgrading service quality. The direct labor force is deployed at entrance gates, ticket offices, and departure areas to guide, advise, and support people, especially those in need, the elderly, children, or passengers going to the station for the first time. The bus station also strengthens propaganda for people to go to the station - buy tickets - get on fixed-route buses, ensuring rights, safety and avoiding risks from "even" buses and "broken" bus stations.
In particular, according to Mr. Tung, the situation of soliciting passengers, causing insecurity, disorder, social safety and urban beauty; healing the bus station environment, attracting passengers and vehicles to the station has now ended. Coordination with inspection forces and traffic police has also been promoted.
Mr. Tung affirmed that the above efforts demonstrate the determination of Giap Bat Bus Station in adapting to new travel trends, improving service quality and better meeting the needs of the people of the capital and localities.
