The leader of Hanoi Bus Station Joint Stock Company commented that the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year will last 5 consecutive days, coinciding with the opening of the summer tourism season. In particular, this is the first long holiday in 2025 and has not yet coincided with the peak of the exam.
In addition, domestic airfares have increased at this time, causing many passengers to choose nearby tourist destinations, traveling by means of transport with lower costs such as cars, trains, etc. Therefore, the number of passengers at bus stations is expected to increase sharply compared to the same period last year.

It is expected that the number of passengers at Giap Bat Bus Station will reach about 20,000/day (an increase of 350% compared to normal days); Gia Lam Bus Station will have about 8,000/day (an increase of 300%); My Dinh Bus Station will have about 22,000/day (an increase of more than 350%).
Hanoi Bus Station Joint Stock Company has developed a plan to increase a total of 625 vehicles for all 3 bus stations during the holiday season. Of which, Giap Bat Bus Station increased 262 vehicles; Gia Lam Bus Station 83 vehicles; My Dinh Bus Station 280 vehicles. The number of vehicles is adjusted by day and route, depending on the actual passenger traffic.

On the evening of April 28, it was recorded that at Nuoc Ngam Bus Station, the number of passengers began to increase, most of whom were students. Vehicles leaving the wharf all carry enough passengers, there is no congestion. Mr. Trinh Hoai Lam - representative of the bus station - said that the preparation work is ready. It is expected that each day during the holiday, the station will welcome 18,000 - 20,000 visitors, and mobilize about 50 more passenger vans/day.

On the morning of April 29, talking to the Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Vuong Duy Dung - Deputy Director of My Dinh Bus Station - said that the number of visitors to the wharf started to increase from the morning of the 29th, expected to increase the peak will be around 16:00. The most strain is still the first days of the holiday, after the scattered guest ceremony, when going to the wharf of public passenger transport such as buses, taxis, motorbike taxi ... will welcome so there will be no congestion at the wharf.
To best serve passengers, the bus station will arrange 100% of officers and employees to work during the holiday. At the same time, bus companies are required not to arbitrarily increase ticket prices and strictly comply with regulations on transporting passengers and goods right from the wharf, said Mr. Dung.
According to the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Hanoi City Police, right before the holiday, the authorities conducted a general inspection of passenger transport vehicles in and around the bus station area. Tightening inspections aims to detect and handle violations, while preventing early risks of causing traffic accidents.

Hanoi Traffic Police will strengthen the handling of violations according to Decree 168/2024/ND-CP of the Government on administrative sanctions in the field of road traffic. In the days before the festival, Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 deployed working groups to remind and guide drivers to pick up and drop off passengers at the right location and route; at the same time, check alcohol concentration, quickly test drugs and monitor journey data before departure time.
Traffic police also recommend that people should go to the wharf to buy tickets, go on the right route, on the right time. Taking a car along the road not only poses a potential danger but also helps the car even when it is operating, causing difficulties for the authorities in inspection and control work.
