On the morning of December 2, Bac Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Thai inspected the site and grasped the progress of site clearance (GPMB) for the Gia Binh International Airport project and the Ring Road 4 project - Hanoi Capital Region (section through Bac Ninh).
These are all key projects, of which Gia Binh airport is expected to serve the APEC 2027 Summit.
At the Gia Binh International Airport project, localities have declared nearly 6,700/7,980 households, with about 818 hectares of agricultural land; advanced more than VND 2,405 billion to compensate 4,825 households with more than 533 hectares of land.
The inventory of about 7,500 graves and residential land is continuing to be carried out.
The investor has mobilized human resources and equipment to level and prepare for the construction of important items such as VIP terminals, Aerial Control Towers and runways.
The Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee emphasized that site clearance is a key task and also the biggest challenge of the project. He requested localities to speed up the construction of resettlement areas, ensuring that people soon hand over the land and stabilize their lives. However, investors must immediately construct in the assigned areas, completing all documents and procedures.
The leaders of Bac Ninh province affirmed that they will work with ministries and branches to develop mechanisms and policies to ensure the legitimate rights of the people; at the same time, commit to accompanying businesses, removing difficulties to keep the project on schedule.
For component project 2.3 of Ring Road 4, the construction value reached nearly half of the contract. Contractors are facing difficulties due to lack of earth for embankment, scarcity of crushed stone aggregate and slow announcement of material prices, not close to reality.
Through the inspection, Mr. Nguyen Hong Thai requested the investor and contractors to mobilize maximum human and material resources, ensure quality, labor safety and site cleaning. Departments and branches are assigned to remove material problems and promptly update material prices when there are fluctuations.
