Mr. Tuan said that currently, the units are reviewing the responsibilities related to the two incidents above.
Tan Phuoc District Party Secretary Doan Van Tuan added that after the incident of a boy dying at a spontaneous childcare center in Hamlet 5 (Tan Lap 1 commune), Tan Phuoc District Party Committee directed the District People's Committee and commune-level People's Committees in the area to review spontaneous and illegal childcare centers. When detected, make a record and handle according to regulations. If there are still spontaneous childcare centers in the area, the head of the People's Committee at the commune level will be responsible.
According to the investigation of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, on December 26, 2024, D.L.M.C - son of Mr. Do Son - died at a childcare center in Hamlet 5 (Tan Lap 1 commune, Tan Phuoc district, Tien Giang province). By the end of March 2025, at the childcare center in Hamlet 4 (Tan Lap 1 commune), Ms. Nguyen Thi Huynh Tuyen (26 years old) had committed child abuse.
Both of the above childcare centers are spontaneous facilities, without operating licenses issued by competent authorities.
Regarding the abuse that occurred at the spontaneous childcare center in Hamlet 4, after the incident, Tien Giang Provincial Police prosecuted Nguyen Thi Huynh Tuyen (26 years old, residing in Tan Lap 1 Commune, Tan Phuoc District) to investigate the act of "torturing others".
Regarding the case of baby D.L.M.C dying at a spontaneous childcare center in Hamlet 5, Tien Giang Provincial Police have also resumed investigating the case.
According to the announcement of the forensic conclusion of the Investigation Police Agency of Tan Phuoc District Police (Tien Giang Province), on February 14, 2025, the cause of death of baby D.L.M.C was acute heart failure, acute respiratory failure, and obstructive pulmonary inflammation. In the baby's blood and organ coating, it was discovered that there was a sitom in the blood with a content of 96.78 mg/100ml, and no other toxic substances were found.
