Lao Cai Secretary inspects progress of resettlement projects

On December 11, Mr. Dang Xuan Phong - Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee - inspected the progress of reconstruction projects in Lang Nu, Nam Tong and Kho Vang.

Accordingly, the resettlement project of Nu village, Phuc Khanh commune (Bao Yen) has basically completed all important items, including: construction of 40 houses, school sites and community cultural houses, internal traffic routes, connecting roads from resettlement areas are also being concreted in the last meters ...

The construction unit is focusing on urgently completing the auxiliary items of the community cultural house and school.

In recent days, agencies and organizations in the district and Phuc Khanh commune have organized labor, helping people in the resettlement area plant trees, make vegetable gardens, clean up the construction area, and improve the landscape around the apartments.

Along with that, Bao Yen district is also directing the construction unit and relevant agencies to urgently complete the Memorial Stele for the victims and the space to display images and artifacts about the flash flood and landslide.

At Nam Tong resettlement area, Nam Luc commune (Bac Ha), the construction unit has also completed all 15 houses, a community cultural house and a school.

In recent days, officials and people of Nam Luc commune have also participated in planting trees and flowers in the resettlement area. After drawing lots and choosing a house location, households in Nam Tong village have gone to their houses to clean them, make vegetable gardens, and get ready to move into their new homes.

For the Kho Vang resettlement area, Coc Lau commune (Bac Ha), all 35 houses are also entering the completion stage.

These days, contractors have organized 3 continuous shifts to urgently complete the internal traffic route and the connecting road from the resettlement area to Provincial Road 160.

After inspecting the resettlement areas, Lao Cai Provincial Party Secretary Dang Xuan Phong highly appreciated the efforts of the construction units to ensure progress, quality and aesthetics.

Mr. Dang Xuan Phong said that according to the plan, on December 15, the province will organize the inauguration of all resettlement areas with the participation of many Central delegates and sponsors. Therefore, the units need to be more determined to complete all unfinished items so that before December 15, they can organize for people to move to live in resettlement areas and welcome students to schools.

In addition, the Lao Cai Provincial Party Secretary also directed relevant departments, branches, and leaders of Bao Yen and Bac Ha districts to urgently complete the inauguration plan to ensure solemnity and meaning.
