terrible dust
According to the reflection of many households in the three communes of Yen Truong, Yen Phu and Quy Loc (Thanh Hoa province), they have had to live in misery in the past time when convoys of trucks carrying soil, rocks, and construction materials caused damage to roads and thick dust.

On Provincial Road 518, passing through 3 communes, convoys of oversized and overweight trucks run day and night. Every time a car passes by, the house shakes like an earthquake, the most frightening thing is at night, sleeping while waking up" - Ms. Ho Thi Oanh (residing in Tan Thanh village, Yen Truong commune) shared.
According to Ms. Oanh, this situation has been going on for a long time. People have repeatedly petitioned the locality and the authorities, but the authorities have only poured soil and rocks to temporarily repair the potholes; and after a short time, they have deteriorated again.
Many people said that the road was damaged, trucks were running, causing dust, making it even more difficult for adults and children. Every day, thousands of students travel on this route, when they encounter convoys of vehicles, they can only stay on the roadside to avoid dust, even facing the risk of accidents.
Most of the heavy trucks come from quarries and material production facilities in Yen Lam craft village, Quy Loc commune, many of which show signs of being oversized and overloaded. In addition to damaging the road, it also creates dust and fog, which is dangerous for road users. To prevent dust, thousands of households along the provincial road if not doing business have to keep their doors closed all day and night said Mr. Nguyen Van Hung (residing in Quy Loc commune.
According to Mr. Hung, in addition to Provincial Road 518, Provincial Road 518B (leading to Yen Lam quarries) is also in a state of serious degradation, with dust and fog, making people extremely upset.
According to the actual recording of Lao Dong Newspaper's reporter on November 28, on Provincial Road 518 (through the above 3 communes), the scene of convoys of vehicles lining up to run in adenous manner, with dust surrounding the road. The houses of households along both sides of the road, nearly km long, are closed or carefully covered to prevent dust.

The working group requested the communes to coordinate with the Commune Police and Traffic Police to inspect and work with mining enterprises, transport enterprises, and vehicle owners to propagate and remind them to comply with legal regulations on load and speed. At the same time, it is required to strictly handle overloaded, oversized vehicles, and vehicles carrying scattered materials that damage the road structure.
For the damaged road, the Department of Construction said it will direct the road management unit to continue repairing severely damaged sections according to the annual plan to ensure temporary traffic for people. In the long term, it is necessary to establish a synchronous investment project to upgrade the entire route due to limited maintenance capital.
