Binh Duong talks about the goal of becoming a centrally-governed city

On September 19, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province held a press conference to inform about the event of the Conference to announce the planning of Binh Duong province for the period 2021-2030, vision to 2050 associated with the promotion of Top 1 ICF (World Intelligent Community Forum) and investment promotion on the morning of September 26.

Mr. Vo Anh Tuan - Chief of Office of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee said that the planning of Binh Duong province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, was officially approved by the Prime Minister on August 5, 2024. According to the decision approved by the Prime Minister, the general goal by 2030, Binh Duong will become a city directly under the Central Government.

Mr. Pham Trong Nhan - Director of Binh Duong Department of Planning and Investment said that this is a long-term and challenging goal, the province sets a threshold to go ahead and strive to implement.

In the coming time, Binh Duong will carry out 37 tasks. The Department will advise a detailed plan for the province to carry out each task in detail to achieve the above goals.

Binh Duong province will invest more in transportation, social, educational and other welfare infrastructure to improve people's lives.

According to Mr. Pham Trong Nhan, the conference on September 26 is an opportunity for the province to introduce its vision, overall development orientation and investment attraction, and at the same time promote Binh Duong to international friends. Thereby, creating motivation to implement strategic breakthroughs in the coming time based on the foundation of digital transformation, green, smart and sustainable development.
