On December 13, the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province announced that at 8:30 a.m. on December 14, the province will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project, the section passing through Binh Phuoc province.
The Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway project has a total length of 55km (of which about 46km through Binh Duong and about 2km through Ho Chi Minh City). The section passing through Binh Phuoc province alone is about 7km long, with a design speed of 100-120km/h.
According to the plan, Binh Phuoc will build this expressway in 2025-2026 and strive to complete the project and put it into use by the end of 2026.
The People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province said that on the same day of the groundbreaking ceremony of the above expressway project, the leaders of the Central Government and Binh Phuoc province will conduct a field survey of the area preparing for the Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) expressway project.
This project is 128.8km long, of which the section passing through Dak Nong is 27.8km long and the section passing through Binh Phuoc is 101km long.
The total investment of the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway project is approximately VND25,540 billion. Of which, the State capital is VND12,770 billion and the investor capital is VND12,770 billion.
Currently, the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province has assigned units to prepare a feasibility study report. By 2025, the next steps to invest in the project will be implemented.
Previously, on December 11, Ms. Tran Tue Hien - Chairman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee issued a plan to implement the emulation campaign to complete the expressway in the province. Requiring functional agencies to propagate and mobilize people to agree, comply with the policy, and actively participate in site clearance for expressway component projects.
The Chairman of Binh Phuoc province assigned the Department of Transport to complete legal procedures for the Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) project to start construction in the second and third quarters of 2025.
The project is under construction for nearly 3 years and is expected to be completed and put into use in 2027.
