On December 19, Quang Tri province held a traditional meeting to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Long Hai, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, reviewed the 80-year tradition of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day. This is an opportunity to arouse national pride, solidarity, and indomitable will, contributing to building a strong national defense, meeting the requirements of the task of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.
The Provincial Party Secretary requested that the armed forces of Quang Tri province continue to compete to achieve many glorious achievements and feats, building the tradition of "Sticking firmly, achieving excellent achievements, and being comprehensively strong".
In recognition of its achievements in training, combat readiness, building the People's Army, consolidating national defense, and contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland, the President signed a decision to award the First Class Fatherland Protection Medal to the Military Command of Quang Tri province.
At the meeting, authorized by the President, Mr. Nguyen Long Hai awarded the First Class Fatherland Protection Medal to the Provincial Military Command; presented the Commemorative Medal of the Minister of National Defense to the leaders of Quang Tri province; presented flowers to express gratitude to the heroic Vietnamese Mothers and heroes of the People's Armed Forces who attended the meeting.
