Binh Duong Provincial Electronic Information Portal reported that the Provincial People's Council has issued a resolution to cancel Resolution No. 50/NQ-HDND dated December 10, 2021 on the implementation of a project to create a landscape and prevent traffic congestion on My Phuoc Tan Van route, DT 746, DT 747B, DT 743 under the public-private partnership method.
The revocation of this resolution is based on the consideration of the submission of the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, the inspection report of the Provincial People's Council's Economic and Budget Committee and the discussion opinions of the Provincial People's Council delegates.
Previously, in 2020, the People's Council of Binh Duong province approved the above project policy with a total investment capital of over VND 9,600 billion. Notably, to implement the project, An Phu toll station will be built on My Phuoc Tan Van road. This is a vital route in Binh Duong province. The opening of toll stations aims to generate revenue to build overpasses, underpasses, pedestrian overpasses, residential access roads on My Phuoc Tan Van route and renovate other roads.
According to records, My Phuoc Tan Van road from Tan Van intersection to Dinh Hoa roundabout has 6 lanes. Currently, this section is often congested due to the large volume of freight vehicles pouring here every day.
This section, 15.3km, coincides with the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project. During his working trip to Binh Duong province (February 4), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh directed the upgrading of 15.3km of My Phuoc Tan Van road to be exploited synchronously with Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that Binh Duong province carefully review and fully propose mechanisms and policies to implement the project as quickly as possible.
