Ca Mau allocates 38,510 billion VND of public investment capital

On the afternoon of October 1, the Economic and Budget Committee of the People's Council of Ca Mau province unanimously approved the plan to allocate public investment capital in Ca Mau province for the period 2026-2030.

Ca Mau province plans to have a medium-term public investment plan for the 2026-2030 period of about VND 38,510 billion. Allocate enough capital to pay off all outstanding debts for basic construction according to the provisions of the Law on Public Investment (if any); allocate enough capital to repay all pre-planned capital (if any); allocate enough capital for completed projects, handed over for use but not yet allocated enough capital; projects using ODA capital, preferential loans from foreign donors (including counterpart funds); State investment capital participating in project implementation under the public-private partnership method, transitional projects expected to be completed in the planning period; transitional projects implemented according to the approved schedule (not yet completed in the planning period);

Allocate capital to carry out planning tasks, review and adjust planning according to the provisions of the Law on Planning and Resolution No. 61/2022/QH15 dated June 16, 2022 of the National Assembly on continuing to strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of implementing policies and laws on planning and a number of solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles, speed up the progress of planning and improve the quality of planning for the period 2021-2030; allocate capital for investment preparation; allocate capital for new projects to meet the requirements of the Law on Public Investment; allocate capital for providing charter capital for policy banks, non-budgetary State financial funds, and investment support for other policy subjects according to the Prime Minister's decision.

The medium-term public investment target for the 2026-2030 period aims to improve the efficiency of public investment capital use, attract and effectively use development investment capital sources, contribute to the basic completion of the socio-economic infrastructure system, serving the implementation of development goals and orientations in the planning of Ca Mau province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; the 10-year socio-economic development strategy for 2021-2030 and the projected 5-year socio-economic development plan from 2026-2030.

The medium-term public investment orientation for the period 2026 - 2030 focuses on allocating capital to complete and accelerate the implementation of projects, investing with focus and key points, prioritizing projects with regional connectivity and spillover effects, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province. Support targeted investment capital for districts and cities to implement projects and works serving local socio-economic development.
