Raising children is a charity project founded by Mr. Hoang Hoa Trung (born in 1990) and the Mountain and Forest Light volunteer group in 2014, to connect kind-hearted people to support lunch for students in the highlands.
After that, the project was expanded to build schools, give away bookcases, and IT rooms to help disadvantaged children have better learning conditions. Many benefactors have contributed to the project.

According to information from the official website of Nuoi Em, the subjects being supported with rice are children aged 3-5 and primary to high school students who have not received food support from the State. The subjects were confirmed by the local authorities. In which, children aged 3-5 years old receive support from the State. However, because of limited costs, the project still provides additional support for this group, expanding from the 2025-2026 school year.
For groups of primary to high school students, the project supports primary and secondary school students living in the village and some special cases, for example, not being supported by the State for lunch because of housing in new rural communes or lacking criteria for approving the regime.
Next year, if the child is given rice by the state, another child will be raised, the project will change the information about the child but keep the child's adoption code unchanged.
In some cases where students from far away have to sleep at school from Monday to Friday, the project will support two meals/day for them to study as boarding students, ensuring special needs, avoiding the case of students dropping out of school.
Each adoptive family will adopt a child, at a cost of 150,000 VND/month, for the first 9 months of the school year. From the 2020-2021 school year, the project will collect an additional 100,000 VND in facilities. Thus, each of them will send me 1,450,000 VND/year.
The Nuoi Em project model is being implemented in mountainous and disadvantaged areas among the more than 900 most disadvantaged communes of Dien Bien, Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Ha Giang (old), Lang Son, Bac Kan (old), Hoa Binh (old), Thanh Hoa, Kon Tum (old), Gia Lai, Dak Lak...
However, since December 6, social networks have spread posts questioning the project's financial transparency.
Regarding the incident, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Nghe An Province Police said that it had forwarded the complaint to the Criminal Police Department for consideration and settlement according to its authority.
