Hai Duong - The Chairman of a Farmers' Association in Hai Duong has been removed from all positions and expelled from the Party for embezzling support money.

On October 3, news from the Farmers' Association of Hai Duong province, the Standing Committee of the Farmers' Association of Hai Duong province has just issued a disciplinary decision in the form of expulsion from the Party and removal from all positions for Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tien - Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Cam Doai commune, Cam Giang district, term XXIV, 2023 - 2028.

Mr. Tien was removed from the following positions: Member of the Executive Committee of the Farmers' Association of Cam Giang district, term XII, 2023-2028; Member of the Executive Committee, Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Cam Doai commune, term XXIV, 2023-2028 because in the performance of assigned duties and tasks, he seriously violated the regulations of the Party and the laws of the State, causing bad public opinion, greatly affecting the organization and activities of the association, and losing prestige among the organization, members and farmers.

Previously, the Inspection Committee of Cam Giang District Party Committee conducted an inspection and issued a decision to discipline Mr. Tien by expelling him from the Party.

Mr. Tien was a finance and accounting officer of Cam Doai commune in 2012-2013, assigned to receive 165 million VND in support of replacing agricultural vehicles that were suspended from traffic in Cam Giang district for 33 households. Mr. Tien only paid a portion and kept 77.5 million VND for personal expenses. When discovered, Mr. Tien went to each household that had not received the money to talk and ask for compensation. However, 5 households did not agree and had not received the money for the amount of 17.5 million VND.

In December 2023, Mr. Vu Dinh C, one of the 5 households that had not received the money, filed a complaint against Mr. Tien with the Citizen Reception Committee of Cam Giang district.

On May 14, 2024, the Investigation Police Agency of Cam Giang District Police issued Notice No. 763 on not prosecuting the criminal case, due to the expiration of the statute of limitations for criminal prosecution.

On May 22, Mr. Tien submitted a resignation letter from June 2024 for family reasons. On May 23, the Cam Doai Commune Party Committee announced the Party Committee Resolution unanimously approving Mr. Tien's resignation from June 1.

Mr. Vu Dinh C did not agree and continued to file a complaint. The Cam Doai Commune Party Committee issued a notice to withdraw the Resolution on May 23.

The Party Committee of Cam Doai commune proposed that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association relieve Mr. Tien from the position of member of the Executive Committee of the Cam Giang District Farmers' Association, term XII, 2023-2028. Propose that the Standing Committee of the Cam Giang District Farmers' Association relieve Mr. Tien from the position of Chairman of the Cam Doai Commune Farmers' Association, term XXIV, 2023-2028.

The Executive Committee of the Farmers' Association of Cam Doai commune proposed to consider and take disciplinary action by removing Mr. Tien from the position of Member of the Executive Committee of the Farmers' Association of Cam Giang district, term XII, and Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Cam Doai commune, term XXIV, term 2023-2028.

After the inspection, the Provincial Farmers' Association Inspection Committee proposed that the Provincial Farmers' Association Standing Committee consider disciplining Mr. Tien by removing him from all positions.
