On the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), the Hanoi People's Committee organized the "Cultural Festival for Peace" to celebrate the 25th anniversary of UNESCO awarding the title "City for Peace".
Hanoi City Police announced the traffic diversion plan for October 4-6, 2024, as follows.
Routes completely prohibited for vehicles:
From 14:00 on October 4, 2024 to 24:00 on October 6, 2024, vehicles (except vehicles with security badges and vehicles serving the Festival) are prohibited from circulating on the following routes:
Dinh Tien Hoang, Le Lai (section from Ly Thai To to Dinh Tien Hoang), Le Thach, Dinh Le, Nguyen Xi, Trang Tien (section from Ngo Quyen to Dinh Tien Hoang), Hang Khay, Le Thai To, Hang Dau (section from Lo Su - Hang Dau intersection to Dinh Tien Hoang), Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square area, Tran Nguyen Han (section from Ly Thai To to Dinh Tien Hoang), Luong Van Can (section from Hang Hanh alley to Le Thai To), Bao Khanh (section from Bao Khanh alley to Le Thai To), Hang Bai (section from Hai Ba Trung to Trang Tien).
Temporary closed and restricted routes:
From 13:00 to 24:00 on October 4, 2024 and from 5:00 to 24:00 on October 5 and 6, 2024, temporarily ban cargo vehicles with a cargo weight of 500kg or more, passenger vehicles with 29 seats or more (except vehicles for handling incidents, vehicles with security badges) and restrict private vehicles from operating on some routes, including:
Ngo Quyen, Ly Thai To, Tran Nguyen Han, Nguyen Huu Huan, Le Lai (from Ly Thai To to Tran Quang Khai), Ba Trieu (from Hang Khay to Tran Hung Dao), Hang Bai (from Hai Ba Trung to Ham Long), Ly Thuong Kiet, Tran Hung Dao, Hai Ba Trung, Le Thanh Tong, Phan Chu Trinh, Tran Quang Khai, Tran Khanh Du, Hue Street.
During the above time, Hanoi City Police organize directions for vehicles under temporary ban and restriction as follows:
Vehicles from the Eastern and Northeastern districts of the City (Gia Lam, Long Bien...) to the Western and Northwestern districts of the City (Hai Ba Trung, Dong Da, Cau Giay, Hoai Duc, Dan Phuong...): Through Nhat Tan, Long Bien, Vinh Tuy, Thanh Tri bridges - dyke 401, Tran Nhat Duat, Yen Phu, Thanh Nien, Vo Chi Cong, beltway 3... and vice versa.
Vehicles from the northern districts of the city (Tay Ho, Dong Anh, Soc Son,...) to the southern districts of the city (Hoang Mai, Thanh Tri...): Through Thang Long, Nhat Tan, Vo Chi Cong, Pham Van Dong, Pham Hung bridges, Ring Road 2, Ring Road 3... and vice versa.
For other routes and vehicles, comply with the regulations on the operation of vehicles in Hanoi issued under Decision No. 06/2013/QD-UBND dated January 25, 2013 of the Hanoi People's Committee (amended and supplemented in Decision No. 24/2020/QD-UBND dated October 2, 2020 of the Hanoi People's Committee) and other regulatory documents of competent authorities.
The City Police Department coordinates with the Department of Transport to adjust the routes and starting and ending points of bus routes, starting from 12:00 on October 4, 2024 and on October 5 and 6, 2024.
At the same time, temporarily stop keeping vehicles on the streets in Section 1 above to serve the operation and arrangement of vehicles for the Festival. All traffic participants are required to voluntarily comply with the Road Traffic Law and the instructions and traffic flow of the authorities.
