On the afternoon of January 14, a source from Lao Dong Newspaper confirmed that a serious traffic accident occurred on National Highway 9, through Dakrong Commune (Dakrong District, Quang Tri Province).
The accident occurred at around 1:00 p.m. the same day, at Km54 National Highway 9.
H.V.H and H.V.S.C were riding a motorbike without a license plate traveling from Dong Ha to Lao Bao. When they reached the above location, they collided with a car with license plate 75C-053.xx driven by Mr. N.B (born in 1991, residing in Phu Loc, Hue City), traveling in the opposite direction.
The accident caused H to die on the spot, S died on the way to the emergency room.
At the scene, the deformed motorcycle was lying under the truck.
According to the dash cam of a vehicle traveling in the same direction as the motorbike, at the time of the accident, the motorbike without a license plate was overtaking recklessly, resulting in a collision with a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
