Ho Chi Minh City - T3 Terminal of Tan Son Nhat Airport has a total investment of nearly 11,000 billion VND, is the largest domestic station in the country, will officially inaugurated on April 19.

The new "heart" of domestic aviation

Started in August, 2022, T3 station has a total floor area of ​​more than 112,500m², including 1 basement and 4 floating floors.

When operating, T3 station will serve the domestic flights of Vietnam Airlines and Vietjet Air, with a design capacity of up to 20 million passengers/year.

Along with T1 and T2 stations, the total exploitation capacity of Tan Son Nhat airport will be raised to 50 million passengers each year.

As of April 16, all technical construction and installation items of the station have been completed.

Lighting system, flight information board, procedure counters, elevators, toilets, and many other modern items are ready to go into operation.

Inside the station, the space is designed spacious, modern and scientific layout, creating maximum convenience for passengers. Station T3 owns 90 traditional procedures, 20 automatic baggage drops and 42 self-service check-in kiosks.

In addition, advanced technology systems such as smart luggage conveyor belt, security scanning, automatic tray, biometric technology ... have also been integrated.

T3 station has a total of 27 aircraft exit, of which 13 doors are directly connected by cage bridge and 14 doors using transfer buses.

Security control system has been strengthened with 25 passenger inspection gates and 8 high -tech security control gates.

In the days of the inauguration ceremony, hundreds of workers are still busy completing the final stages, from checking the technical system to meticulously cleaning each large glasses, ensuring the T3 station is put into operation in the best state.

The inauguration ceremony of T3 station will be held in the morning of April 19, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Passengers pay attention to avoid the wrong station in Tan Son Nhat

In order to prepare for the official exploitation, Vietnam Airlines cooperated with Tan Son Nhat International Airport to organize large -scale drills, checking the entire operation process to ensure safety and smoothness for passengers in the early stages of operation.

From April 17, flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Van Don of Vietnam Airlines will switch to operating at T3 station. By the end of April, all domestic flights of Vietnam Airlines (except for trips to Con Dao, Ca Mau, Rach Gia) will officially move to a new station.

Vietjet Air will also operate the entire domestic flight from T3 in the near future.

However, because the T3 station is only served inland, is located from T1, T2 station due to being separated by two parallel rollers, passengers should pay attention to distinguish to avoid the wrong station.

If you follow the detour from the T1 station gate (Truong Son street) to the gate of T3 station (connecting Tran Quoc Hoan - Cong Hoa) passengers takes about 2 km.

To support passengers, Tan Son Nhat airport will organize shuttle bus (Shuttle Bus) with a frequency of 20 minutes/trip, continuous operation between three T1 - T2 - T3 terminals.

At the same time, the system of guidance and support staff at the airport will also be fully arranged, ensuring passengers, especially the connectionist without difficulty moving.
