On November 13, 2025, the People's Committee of Da Nang City will inaugurate the project to Upgrade and Expand Tho Quang Fishing Port (phase 2), scheduled to be held at 2:00 p.m. at 20 Van Don Street, Son Tra Ward, Da Nang City.
The project is invested by the Da Nang Traffic and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board, with a total investment of 250 billion VND, and will be constructed from January 2024 to June 2025.
The goal is to bring Tho Quang Fishing Port to meet the criteria of a type 1 fishing port, ensuring the function of a fishing port as a large fishing center in Da Nang, while combining the regional storm shelter area and synchronizing the fishing logistics service system.
The main investment items include: Upgrading and renovating wharf No. 1 and wharf No. 3, connecting to wharf No. 2, which has been completed in phase 1.
Renovate the seafood trading area, including water supply and drainage system, waste treatment, painting, preventing leakage and renovating the market floor; Upgrading and repairing boat dock embankment and internal traffic roads.
Build a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 300m3/day and night, with treatment equipment at the source, after treatment wastewater meets column B, QCVN 11:2015/BTNMT standards;
In addition, the project also renovated the landscape, trees, lighting systems and auxiliary items such as fences, gateways, public toilets and fire prevention and fighting systems.
The City People's Committee assigned the Project Management Board to coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment to complete the scenario, decorate and arrange the site; the City Police to ensure security, order and traffic safety; the People's Committee of Son Tra Ward to organize cleaning and stabilization of the area; Da Nang Electricity to ensure power supply for the inauguration ceremony.
