On the evening of October 4, Mr. Do Van Hung - Director of the Department of Health of Quang Tri province said that he had requested the authorities to clarify the case of a subject impersonating the Department of Health of Quang Tri and falsifying notices and decisions.
Previously, the Food Safety and Hygiene Branch of the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Health received a complaint from a bakery in Hai Duong commune (Hai Lang district, Quang Tri province) about a phone number 09255973xx calling claiming to be an officer of the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Health.
This phone number sent a notice and decision on establishing an inspection team to monitor food production and trading establishments in Quang Tri province; then asked the bakery to go to the website to download the application and fill in the information.
However, the above phone number does not belong to the Quang Tri Provincial Department of Health, the notice and decision are also fake.
Upon receiving this information, the Department of Health of Quang Tri province issued a warning document impersonating the Department of Health of Quang Tri province, affirming that it did not issue the notice or decision as reported.
“The Department of Health requests the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to direct relevant agencies to widely inform people and food production and trading establishments in the area; be vigilant against tricks of impersonating authorities; avoid being taken advantage of and scammed by criminals,” said Mr. Do Van Hung.
