Towards the Congress, agencies and units in the entire Command of the Region have strictly maintained the regime, order, forces and means of action, and are ready to fight according to regulations. Strengthen the building of regulations, management and discipline firmly; regularly practice profound protection plans for agencies and units.
Ensure adequate and timely logistics, technical and financial work for regular and ad hoc tasks. Excellently completed the task of carrying the Central Working Group to visit, work, and survey to grasp the practical situation of the operation of the two-level local government model in Tho Chau, Kien Hai, and Phu Quoc special zones (An Giang province).
In addition, with the motto "Active - Resolutely - Flexible - Effective" in performing tasks, in the first 6 months of 2025 alone, the Command of the Region has organized 143 patrols and controls in the Southwest sea; presided over and coordinated the arrest and handling of 20/21 ships for illegal trading and transportation of goods, confiscating more than 1.4 million liters of DO oil, 30 tons of sand and more than 230 tons of Ure fertilizer. The total amount of money collected from fines and sales of assets seized for administrative violations is more than 21 billion VND. Typically, in just the past 2 days of July 27 and 28, the unit discovered and arrested 2 cases of illegal transportation of DO oil with a total quantity of over 300,000 liters.
With political determination and the highest efforts and efforts, the Party Committee and the Regional Command have resolutely and actively implemented many flexible, creative and effective policies and solutions in implementing the task of preventing and combating IUU fishing, especially in the waters bordering Vietnam - Thailand - Malaysia.
In particular, it focused on combining propaganda and mobilization with administrative measures and professional measures. Focus on directing forces in the field to increase patrols, inspections, controls, proactively detect fishing vessels that lose their journey monitoring signals, "high-risk" fishing vessels to propagate, remind, and warn ship owners and captains; promptly detect, inspect, and strictly handle those who intentionally violate the law; take early and remote measures to prevent them. Thereby, gradually moving towards ending the situation of Vietnamese fishing vessels crossing the border into foreign waters to illegally exploit seafood.
