In the early morning of July 19, during a patrol to ensure security and order in Hue City, a working group of the Mobile Police Department (Hue City Police) promptly discovered and prevented a Da Vien bridge jump, helping a female student with signs of psychological instability.
At about 1:40 a.m., while traveling from Le Duan Street through Da Vien Bridge, the working group led by Major Tran Huu Luan discovered a young woman standing next to the bridge railing, showing signs of anxiety, panic and intending to jump into the Huong River.
Immediately, the working group quickly approached the scene, cleverly persuaded and brought the woman out of the danger zone, ensuring absolute safety for the victim. Through initial verification, this person's name is N (born in 2001, from Quang Tri), currently a student at a university in Hue City.
After reassuring and stabilizing the situation, the patrol team coordinated with Phu Xuan Ward Police and Working Group 1311 to continue to support and contact the female student's relatives. At about11 a.m. the same day, the family arrived and brought N home safely.
