On July 20, Lam Dong provincial authorities were still clarifying the cause and handling the incident of a forest tree falling on Bao Loc Pass (National Highway 20) hitting a car in circulation.
Initial information, at around 1:30 p.m. on July 20, due to prolonged heavy rain accompanied by strong gusts of wind, a forest tree nearly 10m high fell on Bao Loc Pass.

At the time the fallen forest tree hit a car (5 seats) traveling through Bao Loc Pass from Lam Dong to Ho Chi Minh City. Falling forest trees caused local traffic congestion on Bao Loc Pass.
At the time of the accident, there was only one driver in the car and fortunately he was not injured.
Upon receiving the report, the authorities quickly mobilized officers and soldiers to approach the scene to regulate traffic. After about 40 minutes of effort, the scene of fallen forest trees on Bao Loc Pass has been cleared and traffic has returned to normal.
