4-year-old child dies from drowning

    Quang Tri - A child in Cam Hong commune died suspected of slipping and falling into the water.

    On November 2, the People's Committee of Cam Hong commune (Quang Tri province) said that a drowning incident had just occurred in the area, causing the death of a child.

    According to information from the People's Committee of Cam Hong commune, the victim was a baby born in 2021, residing in Thach Thuong 1 village (Cam Hong commune).

    On the afternoon of November 1, the child went to play at his grandparents' house in village 4, Thanh Tan, Cam Hong commune. While playing around the house, due to rising floodwaters, the child suspected of having a bad chance and falling into the water.

    At around 3:30 p.m. the same day, relatives discovered the incident and brought it to shore, but the child had died. Local authorities have visited, encouraged and supported the family in arranging the funeral.

    Cam Hong Commune People's Committee recommends that people pay special attention to taking care of children during floods to avoid similar unfortunate accidents.
