Fire 3,000m2 of protection forest in Hai Phong

Hai Phong - In the morning of April 13, Hai Phong City Police informed about the forest fire of the Chess mountain in Bac Ha ward, Kien An district.

According to a report from the People's Committee of Kien An District, the fire occurred at 17h on 12.4 in the area of ​​Tinh Tinh, Pillar Mountain (Hanh Phuc Quarter, Bac Ha Ward, Kien An District). Immediately after receiving the news, the leader of Kien An district was present, directing the forces to promptly deploy fire fighting measures. The District People's Committee coordinated with the District Military Command to mobilize about 60 officials and soldiers of the armed forces to station in the area to participate in the fire.

Due to the complex hills, mountains, strong winds and vegetation and dried trees due to storms, flames spread quickly and difficult to control. Until about 20:00 on the same day, the fire was completely controlled and extinguished. Statistics of initial damage, the area of ​​protective forests burned about 3,000m2, mainly burning the vegetation, about 30 acacia trees were spilled, no human damage.

The cause of the fire is being investigated and verified by the authorities.
