A serious fire broke out on the night of May 11 at a refrigeration store on Tan Chanh Hiep 18 Street, District 12, Ho Chi Minh City, killing one person. The authorities are blocking off the scene and investigating the cause of the fire.
Initial information, at around 10:45 p.m. on May 11, people living on Tan Chanh Hiep 18 Street suddenly discovered a fire that had broken out fiercely from a level four house. Immediately, people used mini fire extinguishers to initially put out the fire, but this effort was unsuccessful because the fire spread too quickly.
The fire quickly engulfed the entire house. During the fire, many loud explosions were made, making people around them unable to dare to approach the scene.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police (PCCC&CNCH) of Region 12 quickly dispatched many fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene.
Firefighters deployed professional measures and urgently sprayed water to extinguish the fire.
After a short time, the fire was controlled and completely extinguished. However, when checking inside the house, the authorities discovered a person dead. It is known that the victim rented this house to do business in selling and repairing air conditioners.
As of the morning of May 12, Ho Chi Minh City Police are coordinating with Tan Chanh Hiep Ward Police, District 12 to block off the scene, conduct an autopsy and collect evidence to investigate the cause of this tragic fire.
