On July 19, Hanoi City Police said that at 0:05 on July 19, the City Police Command Center received a report of a fire at a warehouse and workshop of the vegetable and fruit import-export Joint Stock Company I, address 389 Truong Dinh, Tuong Mai Ward.
As soon as the information was received, the City Police Command Information Center mobilized 60 officers and soldiers of the Hanoi Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department along with 8 fire trucks, 1 motorbike and a specialized vehicle to the scene to coordinate with the authorities, the Ward Police and local people to organize fire fighting.
At the same time, the leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department - Hanoi City also mobilized 2 command vehicles, 1 truck carrying vehicles and directly went to the scene to command fire fighting and rescue work.

At the scene, the authorities determined that the area where the fire broke out was in the warehouse and workshop No. 6, with a construction area of about 1,700m2; the fire was complicated, with many flammable materials such as wood, essential oils, raw materials, printing equipment... and generated a lot of toxic smoke and gas; the fire spread quickly, and was likely to spread to neighboring factories and warehouses.
The fire fighting force has urgently deployed combat teams, exploited natural water resources on site and the fire water supply system from the City water to deploy fire fighting and prevent fire from spreading. Mobilize excavators to demolish the components, creating access for attack points to go deep into the fire points inside the warehouse area.
At the same time, the ward police force, forces participating in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level, militia and self-defense forces... also quickly organized traffic flow, ensuring security and order at the scene to support maximum fire fighting work.

After a period of firefighting efforts, at around 0:40, the fire was controlled and by around 1:30 the fire was basically extinguished. Fire police approached the inside to extinguish the fire and cool down the fire area.
Thereby, the authorities promptly prevented the fire from spreading and protected nearly 1,000m2 of surrounding warehouses; organized the relocation of many assets, belongings, cars and other vehicles; minimized property damage to people and businesses.
During the fire fighting process, an officer of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department was suffocated and taken to the hospital for examination, his health was stable.
The fire did not record any human casualties, property damage is being counted.
The cause of the fire is currently being further investigated and clarified by the authorities.
