According to initial information, at around 0:05 on March 26, a warehouse containing glue in Dong Du commune, Gia Lam district, Hanoi suddenly caught fire.
In just a few minutes, the fire broke out fiercely, engulfing a warehouse of several hundred square meters. The smoke column and fire from the fire rose tens of meters high. Immediately after discovering the fire, people reported it to the authorities.
Upon receiving the information, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force, (Gia Lam District), under Hanoi City Police, mobilized hundreds of officers and vehicles to the scene to perform their duties.
Speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoi - Chairman of Dong Du Commune People's Committee said that 5 fire trucks and firefighting forces were dispatched to the scene to put out the fire. By about 1:00 a.m. the same day, the fire was basically under control.
By around 3am, the fire was completely extinguished, Mr. Khoi informed.
Mr. Khoi said that the fire did not spread out, causing no human casualties.
The cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified.
