6-storey house fire in Hanoi, 8 people rescued

Hanoi - A fire broke out early this morning (March 21) at a 6-storey house in Hoang Mai district. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Hanoi City Police (CATP) has just informed that at 00:002 on March 21, the Command Information Center - CATP Hanoi received a fire report at 49 Giap Bat Street, Hoang Mai District.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Command Center mobilized 1 command vehicle and 2 fire trucks from the Hoang Mai Fire Prevention and Rescue Area Team - Hanoi Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to quickly go to the scene to organize fire fighting, rescue and relief.

At the scene, the authorities determined the area where the fire broke out on the 3rd floor of the 6-storey house (area of about 60m2/storey), located on Giap Bat Street. At this time, fire fighting vehicles had difficulty accessing it because the road to the scene was narrow.

As soon as they arrived at the scene, believing that someone was trapped in the fire, the authorities immediately deployed search, rescue and relief work to quickly approach and urgently bring the trapped people to a safe location.

At the same time, fire fighting and fire prevention work has been deployed to the floors of neighboring houses and houses.

At the time of the fire, people nearby quickly used fire extinguishers at the Public Fire Fighting Point located in Lane 29, Giap Bat Street to support the authorities in extinguishing the fire from the beginning.

After a period of fire fighting and rescue, at 00:002 on the same day, the fire was completely extinguished by the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police and local people, promptly bringing 8 people in the same family out safely.

"The fire did not cause any human casualties, property damage is being counted. The cause of the fire is currently being verified, investigated and clarified by the authorities," informed Hanoi Police.
