Initial information from local authorities, at around 0:43 on December 2, residents of Hu Tri village, Vinh Quang commune discovered a fire at the house of Mr. N.T.C (26 years old) with an explosion, so they reported it to local authorities.
The commune leaders quickly arrived at the scene, along with the police force, mobilizing all fire extinguishers and tap water from neighboring houses. About 15 minutes later, the fire was extinguished. However, the victim, Mr. N.T.C, had died.
Immediately afterwards, the authorities and functional agencies of Vinh Bao district were present at the scene, protecting, examining the scene, performing an autopsy, and investigating the cause of the fire.
According to the leader of Vinh Quang Commune People's Committee, Mr. N.T.C is a demobilized soldier and currently lives alone at home. Mr. C's parents do business and live in Vinh Bao town. Through initial investigation of the scene, the authorities ruled out the cause of the fire being fireworks and gas because the two gas cylinders in the house were still intact.
Currently, the cause of the incident is still under investigation.
