The Ring Road 2.5 route has a total length of 19.41km, a cross-section of 40-50m, the starting point intersects with the Thanh Tri bridge approach road, the end point ends in Phu Thuong ward. The project was started many years ago but has not been completed yet.
The entire Ring Road 2.5 in the city is divided into 13 sections. The project has been invested in 7.6km according to the plan, 9.36km is being invested, and 2.45km has not been studied for investment.
Currently, one of the biggest difficulties is site clearance related to 5 sections that are under implementation and 3 sections that have not been implemented.
The Ring Road 2.5 plays a vital role in the Hanoi capital's transportation system, contributing to connecting inner-city districts from Phu Thuong to Linh Nam, creating a closed circle to reduce traffic pressure on major roads such as Ring Road 2 and Ring Road 3.
In the context of Hanoi's rapid urbanization, Ring Road 2.5 is a key factor to achieve the goal of infrastructure breakthroughs and reducing traffic congestion - one of the 5 bottlenecks that the city focuses on directing to overcome.

Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc emphasized that this is a key and key project of the city, which is significant not only for the development future of Hanoi, but also meets the requirements of the people's practical life.
He requested that the entire political system must be mobilized to participate, increase propaganda and mobilization so that people can share, support and accompany the city to bring the project to the finish line on schedule.
The Ring Road 2.5 project, Dam Hong - National Highway 1A section, is about to be completed
In the sections under implementation, the Dam Hong - National Highway 1A section is being accelerated.
The route is about 1.6km long, with a total investment of more than 1,300 billion VND. The project started in 2014, expected to be completed after 3 years but was delayed due to site clearance problems and waiting for the extension of the BT contract appendix.
By May 2025, the project will be restarted, expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026, expected to open up new development space for the southern area of the capital.
