Open many vocational training classes
Statistics from the Dak Song District Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center show that in the first 9 months of 2024, the unit has recruited and trained 4 vocational training classes for rural workers with 102 students attending.
For example, the elementary vocational class “Raising, preventing and treating diseases for cows and goats” in Nam Njang commune. Attending the class, students were guided by teachers with in-depth expertise in animal husbandry.
Mr. Nguyen Tri Ngoc - a veterinary teacher - shared: "Students are of all ages. Each person has different circumstances, but they share the same will to learn a good profession to have the opportunity to develop the economy and escape poverty."
According to Mr. Tri, seeing the determination of the students, I also tried my best to impart knowledge to the vocational students.
According to Mr. Tri, in each practice session, students ask a lot of questions. Because cows and goats are animals that are at risk of infectious diseases if not properly cared for. Therefore, in addition to teaching theory, Mr. Tri also guides people in practicing how to build barns, identify growth characteristics, care for them, and detect common diseases in each growth and development cycle of livestock.
Not only that, students participating in the class are supported with all training costs, tools, practice specimens... During the classes, students will directly practice using disinfectants, antiparasitic drugs, vaccines, and antibiotics directly on cows and goats.
According to the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education of Dak Song district, after finishing the course in mid-September 2024, 21/26 students of the class were awarded elementary vocational certificates.
Students of the class complete the vocational training program and gain basic knowledge, some experience and techniques in animal husbandry.
Thereby, vocational training classes for rural workers have contributed to increasing the rate of trained workers, shifting the labor structure and helping people develop their household economy more effectively.
Achieved many positive results
Mr. Nguyen Trong Chuan - Director of the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education of Dak Song district (Dak Nong province) - said that through evaluation, agricultural vocational training for rural workers has achieved many positive results.
In particular, students participating in vocational classes all create jobs at home, contributing to stabilizing their lives and increasing their income.
Regarding agricultural vocational training, most rural workers after attending vocational classes have boldly and proactively applied science and technology to production development.
From now until the end of 2024, into 2025, the unit will focus on agricultural vocational training to form a team of professional farmers.
The unit's goal is to help local workers become the main force in the process of rural economic development.
"To achieve real results, during the implementation of vocational training courses, the unit will regularly and continuously monitor and supervise teaching and learning to ensure training quality, effectively supporting people in economic development and sustainable poverty escape," Mr. Chuan added.
