On November 14, the People's Committee of Con Co Special Zone (Quang Tri Province) said that the unit had issued a notice about finding the owner of the unmanned boat that drifted into the special zone.
Previously, on November 9, fisherman Le Van Thuong (residing in Con Co special zone) was fishing near the special zone when he discovered a boat drifting in the waters of Con Co special zone.
The boat is blue, made of composite materials like a canoe, with a steering wheel; 7.45m long, 1.85m wide, 0.9m high. The left and right sides of the boat have white foreign characters, there are some items on the boat used for fishing and many damaged places.
After the discovery, the boat was anchored at Con Co fishing port.
Mr. Pham Thanh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Con Co Special Zone signed a document notifying the owner of the boat to the People's Committee of the special zone to complete procedures to receive the property back. The receipt period is 1 year from the date of posting the notice; after that period, if no one comes to receive it, the People's Committee of the special zone will handle it according to the provisions of law.
