In recent days, at the Thanh Hoa Province Fair, Exhibition and Advertising Center, the Hoang Long Bonsai Art Club organized an exhibition and display of ornamental plants. The event gathered thousands of bonsai trees from all over the country.
According to the records, in the large space of the exhibition area, thousands of ornamental plants were arranged neatly and packed inside the campus. The event also attracted a large number of people to visit and enjoy.
Among the thousands of bonsai trees participating in the exhibition, the value of the trees is given by the owners at prices ranging from tens of millions, hundreds of millions, billions of dong, even up to tens of billions of dong.
Sharing with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Hong Nam (40 years old, in Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province) said that participating in the exhibition in Thanh Hoa this time, he brought a hundred-year-old elm tree. This tree has a base diameter of more than 1m, and a height of more than 3m.
“I bought this tree in Phu Yen province, it has been 4 years now, I rarely take it to exhibitions, only this time I brought it to Thanh Hoa to display. This tree is worth about 4 billion VND” - Mr. Nam said.
Notably, among the many billion-dollar bonsai trees at the exhibition, the ancient banyan tree named “Ngai Vang Dat Viet” was valued by its owner at tens of billions of dong. Sharing about the tree, Mr. Le Duc Nam (residing in Ha Dong district, Hanoi) said that this was the second time he brought the tree to Thanh Hoa to attend the exhibition and had no intention of selling it.
“This tree is hundreds of years old. I bought it 20 years ago and after a long process of care and creation, the tree has now achieved its perfect shape. The tree is about 1.4m high and the canopy is about 2m wide,” said Mr. Nam.
It is known that the exhibition and display of ornamental plants at the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fair, Exhibition and Advertising Center will take place from December 8 to December 18, 2024.
