On the evening of April 15, after receiving a request for support from the City Forest Protection Department to participate in fighting a forest fire in Na Chuong 2 village, Mai Pha commune, Lang Son city, the Fire Prevention and Fighting Force mobilized a fire truck and officers and soldiers to quickly arrived at the scene. After many hours of effort. At about 1:45 a.m. on April 16, the fire was controlled and completely extinguished.
During the deployment of the mission, two conscripts, Judge Nong Thanh Dat and Judge Ngo Quoc Tuan (born in 2005, residing in Minh Hiep commune, Loc Binh district) were assigned to operate water pumps to serve fire fighting.
However, due to the darkness, complex terrain and slippery surface, both of them unfortunately fell into a tank about 2 meters deep after the tank lid broke.
As a result, captain Nong Thanh Dat suffered a head injury and lost a lot of blood due to a strong impact, while captain Ngo Quoc Tuan suffered minor injuries to his hands and feet. Both were given first aid by their teammates and urgently transferred to the hospital for treatment.
