On November 2, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Gia Lai province said that it had directed the Forest Protection Department and the Irrigation Department to coordinate with the People's Committee of Phu Thien commune to inspect and verify information reflecting on the situation of digging and salvaging wood on the banks of the Ayun River (Plei Kual village, Phu Thien commune); report the results before November 6.
According to the report of Phu Thien Commune People's Committee, immediately after receiving the information, on the evening of October 28, the commune held a meeting and assigned the police to coordinate with the forest rangers to conduct verification.

Through site inspection in Plei Kual village, the authorities recorded a piece of round wood under the riverbank, more than 1m in diameter, 4.25m long; along with a tree stump near the residential area of large Kte A village, with an estimated weight of about 3 tons. All of this wood has been transported to the warehouse of the Ayun Pa Forest Protection Department.
According to initial determination, the wood was Oil wood, which had been soaked in water for a long time, with no signs of being newly sawed. The area of the scene has been leveled, no caregivers or related vehicles have been found, so the owner has not been identified.

Currently, the People's Committee of Phu Thien commune is coordinating with specialized agencies to clarify whether the above wood is forest products or assets that have been buried, hidden, buried, or submerged, in order to handle according to regulations.
