In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), on the morning of October 4, the Hanoi People's Committee held a ceremony to attach a signboard and open traffic for the overpass construction project at the An Duong - Thanh Nien intersection and the renovation and upgrading project of Xuan Dieu Street, Tay Ho District.
Mr. Ngo Ngoc Van - Director of the Hanoi City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the overpass construction project at the An Duong - Thanh Nien intersection is divided into 2 phases.
Phase 1 will build an overpass in the direction of Yen Phu - Nghi Tam with prefabricated steel structure, and at the same time adjust the structure of the Hong right dike from An Duong border gate to Thang Loi hotel, 1.1km long with reinforced concrete. The total investment of phase 1 is 271 billion VND. Phase 1 has been opened to traffic and put into use since October 2018.
Phase 2, synchronous investment in construction of Au Co road from the entrance to Thang Loi Hotel to Nhat Tan bridge intersection, with an additional route length of about 3.7km, including construction of reinforced concrete retaining wall on the right (outside the dike) to replace part of the earth dike combined with expanding the dike road surface; renovating and upgrading the residential road system on both sides, with a cross-section scale of 26.5m to 31m (in which the main road surface is from 16.5m to 21m wide). The total investment of phase 2 is 544 billion VND.
Regarding the project to renovate and upgrade Xuan Dieu Street, according to the People's Committee of Tay Ho District, the project has a total investment of more than 388.4 billion VND (of which the cost of site clearance is more than 291.5 billion VND), with the scale of construction and renovation of the road according to the current status of the route located in Quang An Ward and Tu Lien Ward, about 1.1km long (starting from To Ngoc Van Street to the intersection with Au Co Street). The project was implemented from November 2021.
Speaking at the ceremony to put up the project sign and give the order to open the traffic, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan said that with these two projects, the implementation process encountered many difficulties and was prolonged due to unfavorable weather; the volume of moving urban technical infrastructure works and services was very large...
However, up to now, both projects have been basically completed, ensuring progress and quality, put into operation, contributing to improving the city's traffic capacity, enhancing connectivity with Noi Bai International Airport, serving important political and diplomatic activities, and at the same time improving the flood prevention and control capacity of the Hong Huu dike.
Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan requested that immediately after the opening ceremony, the Department of Construction must accept the completion of the project for the investor to hand over; receive the lighting, decoration, tree and drainage systems.
The Department of Transport shall preside over and have a complete traffic organization plan, synchronous with the regional traffic infrastructure; regularly monitor and grasp the traffic situation to complete the traffic organization plan; receive management, operation, and maintenance of roadways according to the management hierarchy.
Tay Ho District People's Committee manages, operates, and maintains infrastructure works according to management levels; studies plans for street beautification; ensures urban order and civilization.
