In October 2024, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued a document directing the implementation of the conclusions of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee on a number of socio-economic contents.
One notable content is the urging of the implementation of the Coastal Road Project from Van Luong commune, Van Ninh district to Ninh Hoa town with a length of 20km and a capital of 2,031 billion VND.
The Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee requested the Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board to prepare the land for the sections and routes that meet the conditions to strive to start the Component Project 1: The project to build the coastal road from Van Luong commune, Van Ninh district to Ninh Hoa town no later than the end of November 2024, ensuring the completion of disbursement in accordance with the content of the central budget capital plan registration in 2024.
After starting the project component 1, the Chairman of Khanh Hoa province requested Ninh Hoa town and Van Ninh district to coordinate with the Department of Planning and Investment to complete the dossier of Project component 2 and Project component 3 on compensation, support, resettlement, site clearance for the section passing through the area, striving to complete the approval of the feasibility study report in October 2024.
Regarding the above coastal road project, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article "People complain about the last minute change of direction of the coastal road".
The article reflects the complaints of residents of Xuan Tu 1 village, Van Hung commune, Van Ninh district about the change in route direction when placing road markers, affecting their lives.
The change, instead of the boundary marker outside the pond location, now the boundary marker is directed towards many houses. People said that the locality did not consult with them and did not receive high consensus.
The people's wish is that the investor should keep the original road milestone - towards the aquaculture pond.
Responding to the people, the Management Board of Van Phong Economic Zone said that when marking the K18 area in Xuan Tu 1 village, there was a mistake, so the consulting unit re-marked according to the approved design documents.
