On April 16, the Hanoi People's Committee issued an official dispatch on inspection and handling of press information reflecting the situation of two glue factory manufacturing workshops of thousands of square meters, located next to a gas station, not complying with the distance to ensure fire safety in Dong Du commune, Gia Lam district. Notably, on the morning of March 26, one of these two warehouses caught fire, spreading to nearby stores and workshops.
Regarding this, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh assigned the Gia Lam District People's Committee to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to urgently inspect and clarify information reported by the press and strictly handle violations (if any); report to the City People's Committee before April 21.
Previously, the press reported that the glue workshop " published a ball" of the model "hanging pot flowers and interior plants in the direction of applying high technology" approved by the Gia Lam District People's Committee in April 2017. This warehouse is located on Giap Hai Street, next to a gas station, not following the distance to ensure fire safety.
