Accordingly, the MS03 sand mine on the Hau River in Nhon My commune (Ke Sach district) is being exploited by Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC to serve Package No. 12 of Component Project 4 with an output of about 1,200m³/day, reaching about 40% of the licensed capacity per day.

As for the MS01 sand mine in Phong Nam and An Lac Tay communes (Ke Sach district), the contractor has also arranged transport ships with a maximum transport capacity of 1,600m3/day.

Regarding the exploitation situation, the transfer of sea sand is being carried out by VNCN E&C Construction and Engineering Investment Joint Stock Company (the unit exploiting sea sand at mine B1). The transfer location is in Dai An 1 commune, Cu Lao Dung district, over 35km from the area of sea sand mine B1 being exploited towards the sea.

According to the sand exploitation unit, the issue of controlling the salinity of the sand is always monitored. Each sand ship must be washed and tested for salinity before being brought to the construction site, the results will be reported to the local authorities.

At the checkpoints, Chairman of the People's Committee of Soc Trang province Tran Van Lau requested that vehicles participating in exploitation and transportation must have full registration, inspection and monitoring equipment. Particularly, transport ships and sea sand suction ships must be equipped with GPS so that the province's interdisciplinary working group on sea sand exploitation can monitor the journey, in order to help closely manage exploitation activities and resolutely handle violations of the law.
