On February 10, reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper recorded that at the temporary rest stop in Cam Hung commune, many vehicles including cars, trucks, and container trucks came here to stop and refuel, and drivers and passengers also came to eat and rest after a long journey on the highway.

Mr. Nguyen Van Manh (45 years old, from Thanh Hoa province) - said that he and his family left Ho Chi Minh City to return to their hometown on the highway. When they arrived in Ha Tinh province, it was just lunchtime, so they stopped at a temporary rest stop in Cam Hung commune to eat and rest for a while before continuing their journey home.
There are many emergency stopping lanes on the route, but to be honest, stopping there I don't feel secure, so it's best to go to the station to rest, eat, and rest properly and comfortably," Mr. Manh shared.

Ms. Le Thi Hoa (32 years old, residing in Nghe An province) departed from Hue City to her hometown, when she arrived at a temporary rest stop in Cam Hung commune, she also stopped here to rest and have lunch.

Ms. Hoa said that she is a woman driving long distances on the highway, so she is quite tired. Fortunately, there is this temporary rest stop to rest and relax, then she feels healthy enough to continue the remaining journey.
Mr. Dinh Van Bay - Deputy General Director of Xuan Khiem Group Joint Stock Company (investor of the rest stop in Cam Hung commune) - said that this Lunar New Year holiday, it is estimated that nearly 1,000 vehicles enter the temporary rest stop in Cam Hung commune every day.
Because currently on the entire North-South expressway through Ha Tinh province, there is only one temporary rest stop that we have put into operation, the number of vehicles entering here is very large. At peak times, the dining hall does not have enough seats for customers, so they still have to wait," Mr. Bay shared.
According to Mr. Bay, although it is a temporary rest stop, with a scale of 10 hectares in both directions of traffic on the expressway, it has met the needs of about 400 vehicles to stop and park for refueling.

We realize that accelerating the project progress to put the temporary rest stop into operation is very practical, meeting the urgent needs of drivers and traffic participants, especially during Tet like now," Mr. Bay confided.
The rest stop on the Ham Nghi - Vung Ang expressway will be implemented from April 2025. According to the schedule, it will be completed in June 2026.
Representatives of the investor said that in parallel with the temporary exploitation of the rest stop, the unit continues to accelerate construction, striving to complete all items, putting the entire project into operation about 2 months ahead of schedule.

The North-South Expressway project in the East passing through Ha Tinh province has a total length of more than 107 km with 4 component projects that have all been completed and put into operation. Including the period 2017 - 2020 (Dien Chau - Bai Vot expressway) and the period 2021 - 2025 (Bai Vot - Ham Nghi, Ham Nghi - Vung Ang and Vung Ang - Bung expressways).
On the entire expressway through Ha Tinh, 2 rest stops are arranged in Duc Quang and Cam Hung communes. To date, only at Cam Hung commune rest stops there are temporary rest stops, while the station in Duc Quang commune is still under construction and has not been arranged for temporary stopping or rest.
