Hanoi City Police have synchronously deployed forces and means to ensure absolute security and safety for the Hanoi Convention 2025 Opening Ceremony.

The event gathered about 1,800 domestic and international delegates, including the United Nations Secretary General, many heads of state and senior leaders.

On October 25 and 26, 2025, the capital Hanoi will become the international diplomatic center when the Opening Ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime (Hanoi Convention 2025) takes place. Hanoi City Police have mobilized maximum forces and means, synchronously deployed protection plans with the highest determination, contributing to affirming the position of the Capital - the city for peace, safety and integration.

This is the first time Hanoi has been chosen as a location associated with a global United Nations Convention, demonstrating the international community's recognition of Vietnam's role, prestige and positive contributions. Recognizing the special political and diplomatic significance of the event, Hanoi City Police have proactively and actively deployed protection plans since the beginning of October 2025.

Implementing the direction of the Ministry of Public Security, the Hanoi Party Committee and the Hanoi People's Committee, the work of ensuring security and order is built into a comprehensive plan. From early morning on October 25, units under CATP have simultaneously deployed protection plans.

In key areas, working groups including officers and soldiers of professional departments and ward police have been deployed to be on duty 24/7 at international delegate accommodation hotels and the National Convention Center area, to ensure absolute security for delegates, vehicles and the venue.

On traffic routes, the authorities carry out the task of leading groups, dividing traffic flows, and regulating vehicles on all key routes. The smooth coordination between units helps the travel of domestic and international delegations to be safe and smooth. Control and protection checkpoints at the National Convention Center and along the routes are organized scientifically, ready to promptly handle any arising situations.

In parallel with ensuring public security and order, Hanoi City Police also strengthen network security. The specialized forces have proactively reviewed, detected and promptly handled sources of bad and toxic information, distorted plots, and incidents that affect the image of the country and events.

To maintain stability from the grassroots level, the police of wards and communes synchronously deploy many professional measures: increase patrols and control at night to maintain order and urban civilization; grasp the situation of the area, accommodation facilities, and temporary foreigners; closely coordinate with the grassroots security force to promptly handle violations.

During the signing ceremony of the Convention, units strictly maintained combat duty, ensuring readiness to take on tasks in all situations. The work of inspecting and supervising the compliance with regulations, ceremonies and styles of officers and soldiers is carried out regularly, contributing to raising awareness and responsibility of the entire force.

With careful preparation, proactive spirit, discipline and high responsibility, Hanoi City Police has clearly demonstrated its core role in ensuring security and order, contributing to the success of the international multilateral diplomatic event - affirming the position and image of Hanoi Capital, a city for peace, safety and integration.
