Mobilizing 10,000 officers and soldiers to perform the task
Hanoi City Police on September 3 said that from August 29 to September 2, the entire capital police force will maintain 100% of their combat force, ready to respond to all situations, and avoid being passive and surprised on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day.
The gateways to the capital, central and key routes, entertainment locations with large crowds... are all arranged to direct traffic, guide traffic, prevent " street crimes", fires and explosions, incidents; create favorable conditions for people to travel and play safely and peacefully.
During the rehearsal (August 30) and the official celebration (September 2), CATP mobilized more than 10,000 officers, soldiers and more than 5,000 people from the grassroots security and order (ANTT) forces, along with thousands of officers from CATP professional units to maintain security and order in the protection sub-areas, with nearly 450 protection checkpoints, closing the entire Ba Dinh Square area and key routes, gathering points for armed forces and people participating in parades and marches.
In the process of performing its tasks, CATP has received coordination and support from functional units of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense, Departments, branches and sectors of the City, especially the timely increase of the Traffic Police of the Police of provinces and cities, students of People's Public Security schools, and youth volunteers of the Hanoi City Youth Union.
Close coordination is a solid foundation for the Capital Police to successfully complete the task of protecting the A80 event.
According to Hanoi Police, the Commemoration Ceremony was a great success, ensuring absolute security and safety, truly being the "river festival" of the entire nation and leaving a deep impression on the hearts of the people and international friends.
With those results and achievements, Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung - Deputy Minister of Public Security praised the Police of units and localities, especially the Hanoi City Police, for synchronously and effectively implementing the plan to ensure security and safety for the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
Accidents have decreased significantly compared to the same period
Also according to Hanoi Police, during the 4 days off for National Day, CATP professional units resolutely carried out a peak period of attacking and suppressing crimes and violations of the law.
Investigate and explore 25 cases, 51 subjects committing crimes against social order; do not let serious crimes occur; detect and handle 12 cases, 22 subjects buying, selling, storing, and organizing illegal use of drugs.
Traffic accidents have decreased significantly in all three criteria with 6 traffic accidents killing 4 people and injuring 2 people (compared to the same period in 2024: 12 fewer cases, 5 fewer deaths, 16 fewer injuries).
The whole city had 13 fires (2 level II fires, 11 level I fires), 10 cases without fire classification (4 cases less than the same period last year); no human casualties.
The security and order situation in the city is basically stable, without complicated situations.
Joining in the heroic and solemn atmosphere of the "river festival", officers and soldiers of the Capital Police have united, agreed, and made efforts to overcome difficulties to excellently complete the task of ensuring security and order during the National Day on September 2, contributing to the overall success of the Commemoration Ceremony and spreading the image of the friendly and peaceful Capital in the eyes of international tourists and friends.
