Quang Binh - Mr. Tran Van Ngoc sent a letter of thanks to Quang Binh Police for helping to bring his son and friend home safely.

On March 13, Quang Binh Provincial Police said that they had just received a letter of thanks from Mr. Tran Van Ngoc (residing in Quang Phuong Commune, Quang Trach District) for the dedication and responsibility of the police force in supporting the safe return of his son and a friend after being tricked into going to Cambodia to work illegally.

According to the content of the letter, in November 2024, due to believing in online enticements with the trick of "easy work, high salary", two young men T.M.T and P.M.H (both residing in Quang Phuong commune) were tricked into going to Cambodia to work illegally. However, here, they are forced to commit online fraud, otherwise they will be be beaten and tortured.

Realizing the danger, both of them tried to escape from the workplace. Although injured while fleeing, they were lucky to have reached the Thai border area. However, T and H were arrested by Thai authorities. After contacting the family, the incident was reported to the Quang Binh Provincial Police.

Immediately upon receiving the information, the Foreign Security Department of Quang Binh Provincial Police worked with the victim's family to verify the information and guide them to complete the necessary procedures. At the same time, this unit coordinated with the Department of Foreign Affairs to propose the Consulate General of Vietnam in Thailand to intervene, requesting the Thai side to consider giving the two young men their release.

Thanks to timely support, by February 24, 2025, T and H were released and entered Vietnam safely.
